RESILIENCE

RESILIENCE: AN INBUILT ABILITY THAT USUALLY GOES UNNOTICED

It's a weekend morning with pleasant weather. So, I decided to go for a jog. Unlike the usual route I take, this time, I explored a different path that flows through the lanes of the community.

When you pass through the buildings, it's magical to see a different story in each apartment. Each building has its own story. Everyone is living a journey. Some are explorers, some enjoy, and some stay worried.

The best part is when you look around, you will realize how blessed you are.

I encountered a similar experience that made me realize how strong and resilient a human being is.

So, to continue the story, on my way jogging, I saw an attractive garden filled with more than hundreds of varieties of flowers, plants & organic vegetables. At first, I thought it was a nursery but, to my surprise, when I investigated further, I realized that the garden belonged to an old couple.

Usually, I don’t get nosy, but this time unlike the usual me, I sparked a conversation with the owner. During the conversation, I discovered the reason for the birth of this beautiful Garden.

Ten years ago, the family that consisted of a Father, a mother, and their only son lived a happy life. Like any parents, the couple took time and effort, and lots of unconditional love to bring their son up to be a responsible citizen and a human being. He completed high school and was all prepped up to start his journey to a foreign country to explore a scholarship he got from the university.

Luggage packed and tickets booked, they all waited for the D day to come.

As the boy will not be meeting his friends for a long time, he decided to go for a quick catch-up. As fate had decided, that journey became the last and final farewell. On the way back home, he met with an accident, and the dreams along with their son ended there.

The trauma, pain, and stress, it’s so strong that it still reflects in their eyes.

That is the journey the old couple is in, but what struck me is the resilience they had shown to the most horrific life experience any parent could go through.

Instead of spending their life crying about the loss, they diverted their love, commitment, energy, and patience to rebuild not just one life but hundreds of lives to spread fragrance and love.

That's how we learn from others' experiences and life lessons. Resilience is our inbuilt ability to fight back and survive the worst in our lives. We do not notice it unless we go through such situations that seem tragic.

This experience has taught me two big lessons:

1. Every human being can get back up if knocked down by obstacles, only if they wish to.

2. Time, patience, and resilience make you a Hero in one or the other way.

Stay Resilient. The world needs heroes and experiences to get inspired and complete this beautiful journey called LIFE.
